Although Chris' family has been in the real estate business for some time, as founders and owners of Ryco, he started out in the wireless communications business. That's an industry that was inventing itself as it went along, and to prosper, you really did have to think in entirely new ways — outside the box is overused today, but at the time, it was really true.

Chris saw a way of bringing that thinking to an industry that has changed drastically and yet, not at all. So he decided to return to Halifax and the family business — but he was bringing his entrepreneurial, client-focused approach to bear on it.

What does that mean? Well, the internet has changed how people get their information. It has put more information into the hands of consumers and they're learning how to harness it. In short, the internet now puts information into the hands of consumers that only REALTORS® could access in the past.

So for a REALTOR® to be relevant in today's world, he or she must provide a far greater level of service to home buyers and sellers.

The way Chris sees it is that you interview him, and if you like what you hear, you hire Chris to sell your home or help you buy one. Chris works for you — from your first meeting until the keys change hands at closing. End of story.
