We were first time home buyers and knew absolutely nothing about the home buying process. Anybody we knew that purchased a home told us stories about all the things that went wrong. We were expecting a disaster.

It was a year ago that my husband and I started a business relationship with Chris Ryan. My husband is a military man and we learned early last summer that we were moving from British Columbia to Nova Scotia. That is when we started surfing the net for homes and found Chris.

It took a little longer than we expected to sell our home on Vancouver Island but we finally managed to get the deal done in November. I met Chris for the first time in the middle of November on one of those exhausting buy a house in a week trips. After an extensive amount of driving around seeing house after house, an offer was put together and we almost had a deal but it fell through at the last minute. With no home to go to, we began our lengthy trip travelling from coast to coast in one of the worst winters in recent history. When we returned to Nova Scotia it was back to the grind but this time we were lucky enough to find a great house quicky and placed an offer right away that was eventually accepted. Although not a simple buy, to meet narrow time deadlines Chris had to spend many extra hours putting together detailed reports and letters to ensure we fell within the guidelines of Military Relocation Services to recover all our moving costs.

We spent almost a year going through the steps of selling and buying our homes. It was during this time we got to know Chris very well, including some of his many traits. He keeps his clocks fifteen minutes ahead to ensure he is early for all his appointments. To show confidence and get some extra advertising, his car has a "RYCO" license plate. In tense and stressful moments he has shown he is a light-hearted fellow with a great sense of humor. However, when it's time to get down to business he is well spoken, direct and to the point.
